What's new in Traveler 12.0.1?

The following enhancements are new in the Traveler 12.0.1.

Support migrating Traveler server data from an IBM DB2 database to MySQL

Traveler server provides the ability to migrate from the local Derby database to one of the supported enterprise databases. Beginning in 12.0.1, Traveler also provides the ability to migrate the Traveler server data from a IBM DB2 database instance to a MySQL instance. Traveler continues to support IBM DB2 Enterprise. This new migration capability is provided to assist customers moving from IBM DB2 due to recent entitlement changes starting with HCL Domino 12.0.0. For more information, see DB2 to MySQL Database Migration.

Mail routing between Domino and domains with Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs)

Traveler server supported clients can send and receive mail from non-Domino mail users who use internationalized domain names (IDNs) in their email addresses. For HCL Verse for Android, a minimum of 12.0.5 is required and for HCL Verse for iOS, a minimum of 12.0.6 is required for IDN support. This feature requires that the HCL Domino SMTP servers that route inbound and outbound mail also must be running HCL Domino 12.0.1 or higher.

For more information on the Domino support and limitations, see Mail routing between Domino and domains with Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) in the HCL Domino 12.0.x product documentation.

Client device ids are included in the HCL Traveler server administration interface's Devices view

When working with the Devices View in the HCL Traveler server administration interface, the device id of each listed device is now included. This information was previously only available in the details view of a specific device. For more information on working with the administration interface see Viewing and managing user devices.

HCL Traveler for Microsoft Outlook delegation support

Traveler Support 12.0.1 supports Mail/Calendar/Contacts delegation using the HCL Traveler for Microsoft Outlook (HTMO) client 3.0.3 and higher. For more information on the delegation support, see the following topics:

Co-locating Mobile and HTMO users on a single server

Starting with Traveler Server 12.0.1, a mix of up to 500 mobile and HTMO clients can be hosted on a combined Traveler server/Domino Mail server without requiring the use of an enterprise database server.
