Address conversion

Not all devices support the full range of acceptable IBM® Domino® mail addresses as well as they support internet addresses.

As a result, IBM Traveler attempts to convert all addresses to the internet address format when data is synced from the server to the devices. When data is synced from the device to the server, IBM Traveler attempts to convert all addresses to the IBM® Domino® address (canonical name).

These conversions are only performed on the actual addresses and not the message bodies themselves, so any addresses embedded in the bodies will be left unchanged. For example, if you reply to a mail message, the reply history will still have the internet addresses.
