Enabling MCMS and CS logs on the Video MCU

Troubleshoot outages on the Sametime® Video MCU Server by enabling MCMS and CS logging on the Video MCU Server.

About this task

Enable additional logs and run tcpdump only when you are recreating a problem. Disable the logs and stop the tcpdump process when you are finished recreating the problem.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the WebSphere® Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere administrator.
  2. Click Sametime System Console > Sametime Servers > Sametime Video MCU Servers.
  3. Select the Video MCU Server on which you are enabling logging
  4. Click Configure Logging Settings.
  5. To set the MCMS file logging, in the Local log file section, click Enable logging.
  6. In the Log level field, select TRACE.
  7. In the CS Logs section, click Enable logging.
  8. Click OK.
