  - Setting your status
    Your online status includes your availability and status message. The top of the application menu displays this information . Tap your current status to make changes. Other logged-in Sametime users can see your online status.

    You can define how you want to receive notifications for chats, announcements, and calls.

Configuring a mobile device for chats

You can use your mobile device as your chat client using the QR code provided in the Settings menu.

About this task

Using the HCL Sametime app allows you to synchronize communicate across devices which is secure and persistent. The app can be found in your app store for Android and iOS devices.

Procedure

Click the menu icon ( ) in the navigator and select Settings > Configure Mobile Client.
Install the HCL Sametime app on your mobile device.
After the install completes, start the app.
After the app starts, you have the option to scan a QR code or to manually configure the app for your community. The following instructions are for using the QR code.
Using your mobile device, scan the QR Code.
Point the mobile device camera at a Sametime community QR code. If the code is valid. it captures the community configuration and opens the Add Community screen on the mobile device.
Confirm the settings and tap Validate to verify the community with your server.
Enter your credentials.
You can save your password for future logins, by turning on Remember Password.
Tap Save > Yes to store your information.
Respond to the license agreement.
The log-in screen opens. Enter your password and select your status. Click Log In to access the chat community.
