Adding TrustedIP to Sametime Community

Whenever you install an HCL® Sametime® server that communicates with a Sametime Community Server, you must add the new server's IP address to the Community Server's list of trusted IP addresses.

About this task

The Community Server accepts connections from the Sametime Proxy Server component and the Sametime Community Mux Server. To ensure that the Sametime Community Server trusts these servers when they establish a connection, you must add their IP addresses to the Community Server.

This task must be completed separately for each Community Server within cluster, as well as for multiple non-clustered Community Servers.

Procedure

  1. Launch the HCL Notes or Administrator client.
  2. Click File > Open > HCL Notes Application.
  3. In the Server field, enter the Sametime Community server hostname. In the filename, enter stconfig.nsf.
  4. Double-click the CommunityConnectivity document.
  5. Ctrl +E to place the document in edit mode.
  6. In the Community Trusted IPs field, enter the IP addresses of any connecting Sametime servers including Sametime Proxy and Sametime Mux servers installed on separate servers or configured with a different IP address. Separate multiple values with a semicolon (;).
  7. Click File > Save to save the document.
  8. Restart the Community Server for the change to take effect.
