Importing a copy of the LDAP server's trusted root certificate

Import a copy of the LDAP server's trusted root SSL certificate into the truststore on the IBM® Sametime® server to encrypt communications between Sametime and the LDAP server.

Before you begin

If a trusted root certificate used by the LDAP server already exists in the truststore, then you can skip this procedure.

If the truststore does not contain an appropriate trusted root certificate, you must obtain a trusted root certificate from the appropriate CA and add it to the truststore.

Make sure you have the trusted root certificate, obtained from the LDAP server, or from the appropriate CA. The data type should be Base64-encoded ASCII.
