Using HCL Traveler for Microsoft Outlook
With the HTMO 3.0.0 release, we changed the name of IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook (IMSMO) to HCL Traveler for Microsoft Outlook (HTMO). HCL Traveler for Microsoft™ Outlook (HTMO) provides you with Mail, Calendar, and Contacts features so that you can work with your HCL Domino mail directly in your Microsoft Outlook interface.

  With the HTMO 3.0.0 release, we changed the name of IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook (IMSMO) to HCL Traveler for Microsoft Outlook (HTMO).     You can save your login password so that you no longer need to provide daily. If you do, HTMO remembers your password and authenticates you in the background unless you change your password or it expires.

    When you first install and set up HCL Traveler for Microsoft™ Outlook (HTMO), existing mail that is more than 30 days old is not synced to Outlook. HTMO users with HCL Verse™ subscriptions can use the Mail Search feature to find older email on their mail servers and display it in Outlook.
  - Looking up names in your organization directory
    When addressing a new email or meeting invitation, you can automatically look up names in your organization through the Address Book Provider.
  - Scheduling a room for a meeting
    When you schedule a new meeting, you can find and schedule a room. This feature is available when your company is set up to use an on-site Domino® Resource Reservations database.
  - Seeing how close your mail file is to the size limit
    The mail file size limit is referred to as the mail quota. Mail files in the cloud have a generous quota of 50 GB, so you are unlikely to reach the quota.

Mail page

When you click File > Mail, the following features are available on the Mail page:

Automatic Replies (Out of Office): Notify others when you're out of the office.

Delegation: Allow others to manage your mail, calendar, and contacts.

Mail Quota: See how close your mail file is to the size limit.

Mail Help: See the product documentation, report a problem, or see the version that you are using.

Encrypt Mail, Sign Mail

When you create a mail message, click Encrypt Mail and Sign Mail to digitally encrypt and sign the message for added security.

Mail Search

If you also use HCL Verse™, you can search for older email on the server that isn't available locally. Click the Mail Search tab from your mail in Outlook. Select where to search (a folder or All Documents) and enter the text to search for. Then click Open Mail Search Results to search.

Or you can search a local folder such as your Inbox as you normally would. To extend the search to the server, click Search Mail.

Either way that you search, the results are shown in the Mail Search Results folder, which becomes the active folder.

If more than 50 messages are found, click Get Next 50 results to see more.
To refine the search, change the search text and click the search icon to search again.
To return to your Inbox, click Close Mail Search.

View Full Message

Messages that are more than seven days old at the time that they are synced locally are truncated. Encrypted messages show only subject text. To see the entire content of one of these messages, select it and click View Full message. Or, double-click the message.

Open in Verse

Click Open in Verse to open a selected message in HCL Verse™.

Open in iNotes

Click Open in iNotes to open a selected message in HCL iNotes®.

Find Room

When you schedule a meeting, click Find Room to reserve a room. This feature is available when your company is set up to use an onsite Domino® Resource Reservations database.
