Manually downloading software from the catalog

When new updates are available on the software catalog, you can download them manually.

About this task

Software is marked for download at either the view level or the document level.

  1. In the Software section of the navigation pane, open either the "Latest Software" or the "Software Catalog" view.

  2. Open or select the document labeled with the new version to download.

  3. Click the Mark for Download button.

The software document will now show as Downloading (yellow circle icon). Within a short period of time, the download server will perform the download, and attach the software to the software document. When that is complete, the software document will now show as Available (green check mark icon).

Domino 14.0 FixPack 1 and later:

If you download Notes software and you enabled integration with the Notes Auto Update Catalog (through the Global Configuation document), the downloaded software image is automatically pushed to autcat.nsf on the AUT Catalog server that you designated. The software document in Domino AutoUpdate shows as Pushed to AUT Catalog (green check mark).

Note: Only Notes software documents with the Available to Distribute icon (determined by HCL based in platform-specific considerations) can be pushed to autcat.nsf.

For more information on what happens after a Notes image is pushed to autcat.nsf in this way, see Pushing Notes installs to the AUT Catalog using Domino AutoUpdate.
