Command configuration

Command is a general concept that refers to configuring backup, restore, and prune operations. There are several types of commands, each of which supports the same options. The commands for backup, restore, and prune operations must match.

The following types of commands can be configured, :
  • File commands Command that performs one of the following built-in file operations. Configured through the File command option in a Configuration document.
  • Formula-defined commands A formula that runs a command. Configured through the Cmd Formula option in a Configuration document.
  • Agents An agent that runs with well defined parameters passed to an in-memory document containing well-defined fields. Configured through the Agent option in a Configuration document.
  • Native OS commands An OS command or script executed with well defined parameters. Configured through the Cmd command option in a Configuration document.
