Enable WebSphere dynamic cache to cache the channel data for your feed subscription.

About this task

To enable WebSphere dynamic cache to cache the channel data for your feed subscription:

Procedure

  1. From the portlet menu, select Personalize, Edit Shared Settings, or Configure. The General tab is selected, by default.
  2. Click the Caching link to display the caching options.
  3. Select the Enable caching check box.
  4. Enable the Cache subscribed channel data using the WebSphere dynamic cache check box.
  5. You can choose to cache the channel data for either all the selected subscriptions or the first few subscriptions, by enabling any of the following two options:
    • Cache channel data for all selected subscriptions - For caching channel data for all the selected subscriptions
    • Cache channel data for a fixed number of subscriptions - For caching channel data for the first, specified number of selected subscriptions. Specify the maximum number of entries to be cached in the Maximum number of cache entries field.
  6. Specify the time duration in seconds for caching the subscribed channel data in the Cache timeout text field. The default value for this field is 900 seconds.
  7. Click Save.
  8. On the Subscriptions page, click Done.
