Syndicated Feed Portlet enables you to integrate, view, and manage RSS and ATOM feeds
from your portal pages. You can organize the feeds into new and existing
feed categories and extensively customize the presentation style for
these feeds.
With appropriate access, you can configure several administrative
settings for the portlet from within the portlet interface. For example,
you can enable and configure servlet and dynamic caching for caching
the portlet user interface and feed data, respectively, set credential
data, and apply locks on a user's ability to customize the portlet
from within the Configure mode of the portlet. Further, IBM Syndicated
Feed Portlet complies with the Outline Processor Markup Language (OPML)
standards for subscription management and supports the export and
import of feeds. You can export the feeds of your instance of IBM
Syndicated Feed Portlet to an xml file and can use an appropriate
OPML URL to import multiple feeds into your instance of IBM Syndicated
Feed Portlet.Note: Depending on the permissions configured by your
Administrator for HCL Syndicated Feed Portlet, you may not be able
to perform some of the operations described in the following sections.
