Creating, removing, or changing tags
Tags are typically created, removed, or modified when you rename a VOB or view or change its network access information.

Use the DevOps Code ClearCase® Administration
Console or cleartool mktag to add, remove,
or modify tags for existing VOBs and views. These are the common reasons to
add or replace a tag:
- Creating additional tags in other regions
- Renaming a VOB or view (a VOB or view’s name is synonymous with its tag)
- Converting a private VOB to a public VOB or vice versa
- Any reason cited in Registering a VOB or view
To change the information in a tag, use the DevOps Code ClearCase Administration Console to remove the tag and create a new one, or use the cleartool rmtag and mktag commands.
