Getting ready to install the Tiny Editors for HCL Connections

The Tiny Editors for HCL Connections: TinyMCE and Textbox.io are provided as a packaged set of files that are ready to deploy as an HCL Connections JavaScript customization.

Before you begin

For more information on the version of the Tiny Editors packaged with this integration, see the changelog.html file included in the download or the Tiny Editors documentation.

About this task

For Unix, Linux and AIX server deployments, a shell script is provided that automates most of the deployment process.
For Microsoft Windows server deployments, an MSI package is provided that automates most of the deployment process.

Procedure

Ensure you have the latest version of the Tiny Editors for HCL Connections package.
Uncompress the Tiny Editors for HCL Connections package.
- A .tar.gz file is provided for Unix, Linux and AIX machines.
- A .zip file is provided for Windows machines.
Make any changes you require to your configuration file. Refer to Modifying default settings for more information.
Select the Ephox editor and the installation method appropriate to your operating system:
- Installing TinyMCE and Textbox.io for Unix, Linux and AIX
- Installing TinyMCE and Textbox.io for Windows
