Setting up remote access on UNIX and Linux hosts

After HCL Compass is installed on a network host, set up other UNIX™ system and Linux™ hosts with compatible architectures so they can run HCL Compass remotely from the network host.

Complete this procedure to provide remote access to HCL Compass from the Linux and UNIX network host.

Procedure

  1. Export the installation directory on the network host.
    Verify that the exported directory on the network host is accessible to all remote UNIX system and Linux hosts that will run HCL Compass.
  2. Log in to the network resource, source the setup file from the remote UNIX system or Linux host, and start HCL Compass
