Selecting another shipping address for an order

If the customer did not specify a shipping address or method when the order was created, but wants to specify an address now, follow these steps. For example, software that is downloaded from the Internet does not require a shipping address; however, if the customer requests a CD-ROM instead, then a shipping address is required.B2B direct Depending on the terms stipulated in the customer's contract, you might not have the authority to changer or create a new shipping address for the order. If so, then the information that is presented is read-only.

Procedure

  1. Open HCL Commerce Accelerator
  2. Consumer direct (B2C)Find the order that you want to work with.
  3. Open the Change Order notebook by selecting the check box next to the order and clicking Change.
  4. The notebook opens at the Products page. From the left navigation frame, click Shipping. The Shipping page is displayed. It lists all products in the order as well as the shipping address selected for the order.
  5. Click Select Another Address. The Shipping Addresses window opens.
  6. Select a shipping address by doing one of the following things:
    • If the shipping address that you want to use is listed, select the check box next to the address and click OK.
    • If the shipping address that you want to use is not listed, click New. The Create Shipping Address window opens. Use the dialogue to create a new shipping address for the customer and click OK. After the new shipping address is created, the system uses it as the shipping address for the current order.
  7. To make other changes to this order, use the links on the left side to switch between order pages. Click Submit to submit the order and close the notebook or Save to save the shipping address information without submitting the order.
