Installing the Cache Monitor - WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console (for toolkit)

Follow the steps given in this document to install the Cache Monitor.

Procedure

  1. Use the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console to install CacheMonitor.ear.
    1. Click Applications > New Application.
    2. In the New Application window, click New Enterprise Application.
    3. Click Browse and locate the CacheMonitor.ear file in the local toolkit\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\installableApps directory. Click Next.
    4. Select Detailed- Show all installation options and parameters, and click Next on the Preparing for the application installation window.
    5. You will receive an application security warning. Select continue.
    6. Step 1: Select the installation options, accept the default values, and click Next.
    7. Step 2: Map the modules to the servers and select the application servers to be monitored.
      • Choose both of the server names from the list of servers available to map to for the servers that will be monitored.
      • Check the box beside the Dynamic Cache Monitor module and click Apply. As part of the entry in the server column of the table, you should now see an additional server listed.
    8. Click Next until Step 3 or click on Step 3 for the Summary window, accept the default values, and click Finish.
    9. Click Save.
  2. Restart the WebSphere Commerce Test Server from your toolkit.
