Commerce Composer tool

Create pages and build layouts for your store directly in Management Center without involving IT by using the Commerce Composer tool. Take advantage of the tool's page design and management functions to improve your productivity and give you more control over the customer experience.
Note: You cannot migrate from the Commerce Composer Aurora store layouts to Page Composer layouts for one of the new store models (Emerald/ Sapphire/ Ruby). You should discard the old layouts and create the new layouts through the Page Composer tool. See ../tasks/tpc_createnewpagelayout.html for more information.

The following screen capture provides a quick look at the Commerce Composer tool. The left pane shows a sample list of content and catalog pages to which you can assign layouts. The right pane shows a layout that is being designed based on a template that is represented by a wireframe:

Create and manage layouts You can design layouts and assign them to your category, catalog entry, and content pages, without involving IT. The Commerce Composer tool provides the following assets:
  • A selection of layout templates for you to base your layouts on, ranging from simple one-column templates to complex multi-column templates with optional tabs.
  • Over two-dozen widgets that you can use to fill the layouts with rich content. A number of widgets support web activities and their precision marketing capabilities.

You can also create search-driven layouts by assigning layouts to search terms. When customers search your site by using the search term, your layout is displayed instead of the regular search results page.
