Changing a customer's password

If customers forget the logon passwords that are assigned during registration, you can reset the password. If no e-mail address is specified during registration, you cannot reset the password for the customer.

Procedure

  1. Open WebSphere Commerce Accelerator
  2. Find the customer you want to work with.
  3. From this list, select the check box next to the customer that you want to work with, and click Reset Password.
  4. To authenticate that you are authorized to change passwords, you are prompted to provide your WebSphere Commerce Accelerator password.
    The system generates a password for the customer and e-mails it to the customer's primary e-mail address.
