Accessing sample organizations and user accounts to try out Aurora B2B capabilities

When you publish the Aurora starter store as a B2B direct store, the store has sample organizations and user accounts that are set up for your use. You can sign in to the store by using the sample user account and then try out B2B-optimized features in the storefront.

About this task

This task explains how to do the following things:
  • View the sample organizations and users in the Organization Administration Console.
  • Reset the passwords for the sample user accounts so that you can sign in to the Aurora starter store.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Organization Administration Console by using a Site Administrator or Seller Administrator ID.
  2. Click Access Management > Find Organizations.
  3. Click Find.
    A number of organizations are listed. Notice that the list contains Buyer A Organization and Buyer B Organization. These two buyer organizations have sample accounts and contracts set up in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator. In addition, the two organizations have sample user accounts for you to use.
    Tip: In WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, you can modify the accounts and contracts to try out different terms and conditions.
  4. Click Access Management > Find Users.
  5. Click Find.
    A number of users are listed. Notice that the list contains users with the logon IDs buyerAadmin and buyerBadmin. You can use these two sample users to sign in to the Aurora starter store, create and place orders, and administer buyers and organizations in the storefront. These users are assigned the following roles:
    • Registered Customer (in one or more seller organizations)
    • Buyer Administrator (in either Buyer A or Buyer B Organization)
    • Buyer Approver (in either Buyer A or Buyer B Organization)
    • Buyer (buy-side) (in either Buyer A or Buyer B Organization)

    These roles provide these users with the authority to access all of the shopping, administration, and approval features of the Aurora starter store.

    The buyerAadmin and buyerBadmin users also belong to the following member groups:
    • OrderApprovalGroup: Members of this group can approve orders, if order approvals are enabled for the organization.
    • UserRegistrationApprovalGroup: Members of this group can approve buyers, if buyer (user registration) approvals are enabled for the organization.
  6. Reset the password for the buyerAadmin user account:
    1. Select the check box to the left of buyerAadmin.
    2. Click Change.
    3. In the Password field, type a password.
    4. In the Password confirmation field, type the password again.
    5. Click OK.
    6. If you also want to use the buyerBadmin user account, repeat steps 6.a to 6.e for the buyerBadmin user account.
    7. Click Logout.
  7. Go to the home page of the Aurora starter store that you published.
  8. In the header, click Sign In / Register link.
  9. Sign in to the store with the buyerAadmin or buyerBadmin logon ID and password.

    You can browse, place orders, use My Account features, and administer organizations and buyers in the Aurora B2B store.
