Removing Computers

This feature allows you to remove computers that are no longer reporting in, such as decommissioned computers.

When you remove a computer from the database, you do not need to uninstall or unsubscribe the client. If the client gets reactivated and reports back to the Console, the computer is included in the database with its old information intact. Until then, the client is not listed in the Console.

To remove a computer from the database, follow this procedure:

  1. Click the Computers icon in the Domain Panel navigation tree to see a list of Clients in the List Panel.
  2. Right-click a Computer in the list and select Remove from Database from the context menu (or select Remove from the Edit menu).
  3. Confirm the removal in the subsequent dialog.

This computer is no longer visible in the Console unless reactivated by the BigFix Client itself.
