Discover System Monitoring
Discover provides several mechanisms for monitoring the health of the Discover system and Discover user activities. This section provides access to the various tools available in the Discover system for monitoring it and its users.
Reporting on Discover Databases
Through the Portal, you can review a wide range of reports that are sourced from the Discover databases.
Data Collector Status
Through the Portal, you can monitor the status of the DiscoverData Collector, which is responsible for collecting session data from the Long Term Canister and inserting it into the appropriate database.

Data Collector Status

Through the Portal, you can monitor the status of the DiscoverData Collector, which is responsible for collecting session data from the Long Term Canister and inserting it into the appropriate database.

About this task

You can review the current collection status through the Portal. Steps:

Procedure

Login to the Portal as an administrator.
From the Portal menu, select Discover > System Status > Collection Status.
The Collection Status report shows the most recent data collection runtime.

Results

Through the Portal Management page, you can troubleshoot issues with Data Collection by reviewing the application logs and Windows™ Event logs.
