Discover System Monitoring
Discover provides several mechanisms for monitoring the health of the Discover system and Discover user activities. This section provides access to the various tools available in the Discover system for monitoring it and its users.

      - Network Traffic
        Many DNCA-related issues can be identified by monitoring the network traffic into and out of the DNCA. At the command line, you can use the Linux™ utility tcpdump to perform many of these monitoring tasks.

      After data has been stored in the Long Term Canister, the Discover Data Collector periodically scans the LTC for new sessions to aggregate and insert into the Discover databases, where the aggregated data is used to populate reports.

  - Integrating Unica Discover and Unica Journey
    Unica Discover and Unica Journey integration works with CEP configuration. The CEP configuration enables the event to be sent to CEP and the external systems. Unica Discover-Unica Journey integration is supported from version 12.1.0.3 onwards.

DNCA Application

The Unica Discover Network Capture Application provides a variety of useful data on capture activities through the DNCA Web Console.

On the Summary page, you can review basic summary information about the capture process, as well as enable or disable the capture process. See "DNCA Web Console - Summary Tab" in the Unica Discover Network Capture Application Manual.
In the Statistics page, you can review configuration and resource usage information for the capture software processes and metrics on DNCA performance. See "DNCA Web Console - Statistics Tab" in the Discover Network Capture Application Manual.

stats2csv

Statistics logs from the DNCA can be converted to .csv or Excel files in .xml format using the stats2csv script in the DNCA installation.
