Domain requirements for HCL VersionVault hosts and user accounts on Windows

On Windows systems, ensure that HCL VersionVault hosts and user accounts meet Windows domain requirements.

HCL VersionVault is a distributed client/server application; many operations initiated on client hosts are completed by server processes elsewhere in the network. To ensure successful network communication between VersionVault client and servers, VersionVault hosts and user accounts must meet these domain requirements:

VersionVault hosts
All HCL VersionVault hosts that run Windows must belong to a Windows domain or an Active Directory domain, except when running a single-host evaluation copy of HCL VersionVault.
VersionVault user accounts
To use HCL VersionVault from a supported Windows host, you must log on to a domain account. You cannot use HCL VersionVault from a local, per-system user account.
