Deliver provides a template-based scripting language for creating self-contained scripts that provide a way to personalize content in ways that you cannot easily duplicate in the Deliver Message Editor.

You can add advanced scripts directly into an HTML document used as the template for a personalized email. Templates for text-only email in Deliver are also HTML documents that accept advanced scripts for email. The script syntax includes several tags and elements used exclusively with Deliver.

  Email and landing page templates are documents that you create outside of the Deliver Message Editor to define the layout of personalized email, hosted landing pages. The design of the template guides the design of the message.       You can include trackable links in advanced scripts. However, advanced scripts do not support adding links to landing pages hosted by Unica.

      Scripts in Deliver do not support using droppable zones.
  - Advanced email script structure and syntax
    Advanced scripts for email require that you adhere to a specific structure and use specific tags and operators to write scripts that create data tables and conditional content that you can incorporate into email messages.

    This example provides a sample script that could be used to generate and display a data table in an email.

- Offers in personalized email
  You can add offers that you define in Unica Campaign to personalized email that you create and send through Unica Deliver. Including offers in your marketing email gives you an opportunity to deliver a timely and targeted call to action to your audience. The system collects the offer responses and makes the data available in the Campaign contact and response history for use in Campaign performance reports.

Advanced scripts in templates

You add scripts directly into the HTML code for an HTML or text-only email template.

You can use any text or HTML editor to create an advanced email script for use by Deliver. The script must contain valid HTML elements.

The script must be bounded by the custom <UAEscript> tag. This custom tag is recognized only in Deliver and works only in templates for email.

The <UAEscript> tag is not case sensitive.
