Link expiration for transactional email

Deliver determines link expiration for transactional email differently from how it calculates link expiration for other types of messages. The system calculates the end of the tracking period for transactional email messages based on when you disable the mailing for transactional email.

Because mailings that you enable for transactional email do not transmit messages in a single mailing run, the system cannot calculate a link tracking period that is based on the time the run completes. Instead, the time when you disable the mailing for transactional messaging is the specific date and time that the system uses to calculate when to stop link tracking.

After you disable the mailing for transactional email, the system forwards link responses according to the link tracking period that is specified in the mailing configuration. Links in the message expire at the end of the tracking period.
