Creating groups of conditions for personalization rules

You can combine conditional expressions into groups and subgroups to have greater flexibility and precision when constructing sophisticated personalization rules. Use logical operators (AND and OR) to connect the groups into more complex conditional expressions.

Deliver evaluates expressions inside groups before other expressions in the rule.

In the text view of the rules editor, use parentheses to create groups of expressions. You can create subgroups and define a condition hierarchy by entering parenthetical expressions inside other parenthetical expressions. Enter logical operators manually to define the relationship between the groups in the rule.

The graphical view of the editor represents each group in a separate box and allows you to nest up to three levels of groups to create a hierarchy. The editor provides a selector to specify the logical operator to use with each set of groups.
