Rule order

Unica Optimize runs all optimization rules in a session by using logical AND operations.

Logical AND of rules depends on the proposed transactions of a customer and the scope of rules.

If transactions of a customer come under more than one rule, all of the rules would be processed as an AND operation for that customer.

As a result, the order in which Unica Optimize applies the rules does not affect the optimization results, except for analysis in the Transaction Filtering Summary report. The Transaction Filtering Summary report presents analysis of the number of transactions that are eliminated by each rule in the order in which rules are entered. When a single contact might be rejected by multiple rules, the Transaction Filtering Summary report credits only the first applicable rule in the list.
