The generic fields available when you create or edit an optimization rule. Fields specific for each type of rule are defined in the definitions for rule type sections.

Field	Description
Rule name	Enter a name for this rule, up to 64 characters in length. This name displays on the Rules tab. This name follows the same character restrictions as Campaign objects. For more information about the restrictions, see the HCL® Campaign User's Guide. Keep rule names unique within a Contact Optimization session.
Comments	(Optional) Enter a description of this rule.
Rule definition	The fields in this section vary according to rule type. See the specific rule for a description of the fields that are associated with each rule type.
