Updating Sametime Meeting Server to FP1

Run the installation program to update the IBM® Sametime® 9.0.1 Meeting Server to Feature Pack 1.

Before you begin

To prevent users from using the system during the upgrade, stop the Sametime servers in the deployment, except the Sametime System Console and Deployment Manager. Leave the WebSphere® Application Server running.

About this task

While upgrading the Sametime Meeting Server, you might need to download the most recent Installation Manager and update the WebSphere Network Deployment.

Procedure

Complete the following steps on every Sametime Meeting Server in your deployment:
  1. Prepare the server for updating to Feature Pack 1.
  2. On the computer where you will install the Sametime Meeting Server, log on as root (Linux™) or as the system administrator (Microsoft™ Windows™).
  3. Download the FP1 update for this server from IBM Fix Central.
  4. Extract all downloaded packages.
