Changing a WebSphere proxy server's port settings

Change the defined port settings on an IBM® WebSphere® proxy server used by an IBM Sametime® cluster.

About this task

If any of the WebSphere proxy server's port settings are incorrect, change it to the correct value.

Procedure

  1. On the node where WebSphere proxy server is running, log in to the Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere administrator.
  2. Click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere proxy servers.
  3. In the list of proxy servers, click the node's WebSphere proxy server to open its Configuration page.
  4. In the "Communications" section, click Ports.
  5. Use the Ports table to change the SIP ports as follows:
Note: If there is a requirement to use non-secure port 5060 and secure port 5061 for the Sametime SIP Proxy/Registrar, assign those ports to the WebSphere SIP proxy. Assign non-secure port 5062 and secure port 5063 to the Sametime SIP Proxy/Registrar servers. In this case, ensure there are no other applications using those ports on that server, for example, a Conference Manager.
    1. Click on the PROXY_SIP_ADDRESS link, change its setting (for example, to 5060), and then click OK.
    2. Click on the PROXY_SIPS_ADDRESS link, change its setting (for example, to 5061), and then click OK.
  6. Save the changes by clicking the Save link in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
