Managing Sametime Meetings
This topic explains the features you can enable or disable for meetings. Currently, the settings that you can change are global settings that apply to the entire server. User policies cannot control the settings.

      You can disable guest access and remove the option from the meeting attend page.

      The most recent active video streams are displayed in the meeting window up to the specified maximum value. The default is nine.

      As the administrator, you have control over your recording settings. This section describes the features available to help you manage meeting recordings and where they are configured.

      By default, meeting owners can generate meeting reports. You can change a setting to disable the ability for owners to generate meeting reports.

      By default, Sametime is configured to display the meeting duration. You can change the setting to disable the timer.

Disabling custom background uploads

About this task

By default, you can upload any supported image type to use as your background during a meeting. Depending on your organization's requirements, you can disable custom background uploads by modifying the applicable file.

Docker
- .env

- values.yaml

Procedure

Modify the configuration file. The default value is TRUE.
- For Docker, update the value of the ENABLE_USER_VIRTUAL_BACKGROUND parameter:
```
ENABLE_USER_VIRTUAL_BACKGROUND=false
```
- For Kubernetes, update the value of the UserVirtualBackgroundsEnabled parameter:
```
userVirtualBackgroundsEnabled: false
```
Restart the Sametime server to apply the changes. For more information, refer to Starting and stopping servers.
