Tuning a Sametime® Advanced Server
Complete the following tuning procedures to enhance performance on an IBM® Sametime® Advanced Server.
Tuning WebSphere® Application Server
When you installed the IBM® Sametime® server software, the IBM WebSphere® Application Server was installed automatically. Complete the following tuning procedures to enhance performance of the WebSphere Application Server. Some procedures must be repeated on each server in a cluster.

Increase the size of the IBM® Sametime® Advanced Server cluster's docshare cache to 80000.

Increase the size of the IBM® Sametime® Advanced Server cluster's docshare cache to 80000.

Procedure

On the Sametime Advanced Server, log in to the WebSphere® Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere administrator.
In the navigation list, click Resources > Cache Instances > Object Cache Instances.
Set the Scope to the Sametime Advanced Server cluster.
Set hte docshare cache size to 80000.
Click OK.
Save the change to master configuration by clicking Save in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
Restart the Sametime Advanced cluster so the change can take effect.
