Complete the following tuning procedures to enhance performance on an IBM® Sametime® Advanced Server.
Tuning WebSphere® Application Server
When you installed the IBM® Sametime® server software, the IBM WebSphere® Application Server was installed automatically. Complete the following tuning procedures to enhance performance of the WebSphere Application Server. Some procedures must be repeated on each server in a cluster.

About this task

Complete this procedure for every Sametime Advanced Server node.

From the Integrated Solutions Console, click Resources > Cache instances > Object Cache instances.
From the list, select Node and stadvanced_server_name.
Click New.
In the Name field, enter a unique name for each node. For example, enter the following names:
- Primary node: WSsecureMap
- Secondary node1: WSsecureMap1
- Secondary node2: WSsecureMap2
For JNDI name, enter ws/WSSecureMap.
For the Cache size, enter 80000.
Leave all the other default values as is. Click OK, and click Save to save changes to the master configuration.
If Sametime Advanced is clustered, repeat the preceding steps for each node of the cluster.
