Unlocking or locking a user ID

An admin can lock and unlock a user ID to control the user's access to the SafeLinx Server.

A user ID is automatically locked if there are unsuccessful login attempts beyond the configurable number allowed. An admin can also lock and unlock a user ID to control user access to the SafeLinx Server.

If you unlock a user ID but do not Reset the failed login count while the number of login attempts exceeds the number allowed, the user ID is still locked the next time that the user logs in.

You can locate a user in SafeLinx Administrator, from the Tasks pane or from the Resources pane. From the Tasks pane, double-click Find a Resource and then specify the user to find. If you start from the Resources pane, right-click the Users icon in the OU in which you want to search, and then click Open to display a list of users.

To lock a user, right-click the user's name and then click Lock....

To unlock a user, right-click the user's name and then click Unlock....
