Resetting the failed login count

SafeLinx Administrator locks a user account after the user reaches a failed login count. An admin must then reset the number of failed login counts for the user before the user account can be activated again.

The failed login count is the number of consecutive unsuccessful login attempts allowed for a user. When the number of consecutive unsuccessful login attempts exceeds the number that is allowed, the account is locked and the user cannot log in until an admin resets the failed login count.

To reset the number of login attempts for a user and also unlock the user for the next login, right-click the user name and then click Reset failed login count....

You can locate a user in SafeLinx Administrator, from the Tasks pane or from the Resources pane. From the Tasks pane, double-click Find a Resource and then specify the user to find. If you start from the Resources pane, right-click the Users icon in the OU in which you want to search, and then click Open.

Now, right-click the user's name in the table, and click Reset failed login count....
