Starting a connection when the operating system starts

Specific connections can be configured to start automatically when the operating system starts. Log in as root and use the properties notebook to configure the service.

About this task

Only one connection can be configured to start when the operating system starts. If the connection is lost, the SafeLinx Client attempts to restart the connection until it is reestablished. Any applications listed on the Autostart tab of the Connection properties, Applications to start after connecting, will not start until the Connection window (use the command: wcguicfg) is opened.

Procedure

To start a connection automatically when the operating system starts:
  1. Select the Save password check box on the Connect window and click Connect, if you did not connect previously and save the password. The account you want to start automatically must be previously connected to the SafeLinx Server with the password saved.
  2. Select the connection, then click Connection > Properties. The properties notebook is displayed.
  3. Select the Start connection when the operating system starts check box on the Attributes tab, then click OK.
