You can use LDAP Authentication in Windows™ with Informix® OLE DB Provider, which is similar to the Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) that is used on UNIX™ and Linux™.

When you want to use an LDAP server to authenticate your system users, use the LDAP Authentication Support module. The module contains source code that you can modify to fit your specific requirements. For information about the LDAP Authentication Support module, see the Informix Security Guide.
