Tuning the repair service

Use the Tuning tab in the Cluster Configuration document to adjust the behavior of the repair service used with symmetrical clusters.

Procedure

  1. From the Domino® directory of a server in the cluster, click Configuration > Clusters > Configuration.
  2. Click Edit Cluster Configuration.
  3. In the Tuning tab, select options:

    Number of repair threads The number of Domino® server threads to use for the repair service. Specify from 1 - 20. Default is 4.
    Check donor availability How frequently, in minutes, the repair service checks to see whether donor servers are available and if any servers have been added to or removed from the cluster. Specify from 1 to 15 minutes. Default is 5 minutes.
    Retry failed repairs after How soon, in minutes, the repair service tries again after a failed attempt to connect to a donor server to replace a file. Specify from 1 to 15 minutes. Default is 5 minutes.
    Maximum number of retries Number of times the repair service can attempts to connect to a donor server to replace a file. When the limit is reached, the file is logged as unrepairable. After the Specify a value from 0 to 5. Default is 3.
    Repair performance The level of Domino® CPU and Disk I/O to dedicate to the repair service. Specify from 1 (slowest) to 5 (fastest). Default is 3.
    Repair logging level The level of repair service logging (from 0 to 4) to show in the server console and log.nsf:

    0 (none)
    1 (minimal)
    2 (normal)
    3 (verbose)
    4 (diagnostic)

    Default is 2.
