Reverting to a previous version of Domino

If you want to revert a Domino server with DAOS tier 2 enabled to an earlier Domino version that does not support DAOS tier 2, for example, Domino 10.x or 9.x, first move all tier 2 DAOS objects to tier 1. Otherwise, your reverted 10.x or 9.x server will be unable to access any objects stored in tier 2.

About this task

Before you revert a Domino server enabled for DAOS tier 2 server to Domino 10.x or 9.x, complete the following steps.

Procedure

  1. Complete the procedure Reverting use of DAOS tier 2 storage.
  2. (Recommended) Make sure that your DAOS catalog is in a synchronized state:
    1. Determine the state of the DAOS catalog by issuing the following command at the server console:
      tell daosmgr status
    2. If the command output shows the state as SYNCHRONIZED. No further action is necessary. If the command output indicates that the catalog isn't synchronized, issue the following command to synchronize it. The command may take a considerable time to complete and so best practice is to issue the command during non-business hours.
      tell daosmgr resync
