Usage

This portlet can be used anywhere on your site to display your site navigation, but is normally used in the footer of a page.

Adding the portlet to a page

Procedure

  1. Go to the page where you want to add a Footer Sitemap portlet.
  2. Click Edit Mode.
  3. Click Create > Content > Navigation.
  4. Drag the Footer Sitemap portlet to the page and save the page.

Content author customization options

Portlet configuration options

By clicking Open Edit Form from the portlet menu the content author can:
  • Enter a title for the portlet. The title is displayed only if it is referenced within the rich text field, or the header component by using an element tag.
  • Select a header or footer component to display in the navigation.
  • Enter a context override value to change the starting point of the navigator.

Site designer customization options

By clicking Open Edit Form from the portlet menu the site designer can further customize the teaser.

Block Component

The navigator that is used to render the site map is selected here. This portlet uses the following component:
  • CTC Design/Navigation Components/Footer Sitemap
If you need to customize this component, you must create a copy and save it into your own design library. By clicking Open Edit Form from the portlet menu, you then select the new component in the Block Component parameter of the portlet configuration document.

You can also select a different navigator component to use from the CTC Design library. These are located under: CTC Design/Navigation Components/

CSS Style

The default stylesheet that is used by this portlet is contentSitemap. To customize this CSS file, first make a copy of the CSS file, edit the copy, and then enter the name of the new CSS file in the CSS Style parameter in the portlet configuration document.

CSS files are stored in this WebDAV folder: dav://server:port/wps/mycontenthandler/dav/fs-type1/themes/Portal8.5/CTC/css.
