Configure your environment after installation or upgrade
For some types of DevOps Code ClearCase® and DevOps Code ClearCase MultiSite hosts, some configuration tasks are required after you complete a product installation or upgrade operation.
Completing the installation on a registry server host
To complete installation of a registry server host, you must create a VOB-tag password file on that registry server host.

About this task

After you upgrade a DevOps Code ClearCase registry server, restore the registry files and client database from the backup versions that were created before upgrading.

Procedure

Copy the registry server files from the backup version to the DevOps Code ClearCase registry directory:
- Windows: C:\Program Files\DevOps\Code\ClearCase\var\rgy
- Linux and UNIX: /var/adm/rational/clearcase/rgy
Copy the client list from backup version to the following directory:
- Windows: C:\Program Files\DevOps\Code\ClearCase\var\client_list.db
- Linux and UNIX: /var/adm/rational/clearcase/client_list.db
