Pre-installation tasksComplete the following tasks before installing IBM® Connections. If you are migrating from a prior release of IBM® Connections, do not complete the tasks for creating databases or populating the Profiles database. The migration process handles those tasks automatically.

About this task

This software is provided with IBM Connections in the IBM Installation Manager (IM) package. Install the versions and fixes that are described in the Detailed system requirements for IBM Connections document on the IBM Support site.

Note: Connections is bundled with Installation Manager v1.8.4, which is 64-bit. If you have an earlier version of Installation Manager that is 32-bit, you must upgrade it to version 1.8.4. To download that version, see Installation Manager 1.8.4..
