To extend IBM® Connections to offer users a way to view documents, spreadsheets, and presentations within the Files application, install and set up Viewer from IBM Connections Docs.

About this task

Users can view files directly within the IBM Connections Files and Communities applications. Supported Open Document files include word processing documents (.odt), spreadsheets (.ods), and presentations (.odp). Also view the Microsoft™ equivalents of these file types – Word (.doc and .docx), Excel (.xls and .xlsx), and PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx), as well as .pdf files. By viewing an uploaded file from within IBM Connections, users can see the file contents without having to download the file.
