Before you can run BIRT reports from the Report Launcher for HCL Compass, you must install and configure the BIRT server runtime on the WebSphere® Application Server.

The Report Launcher for HCL Compass builds the appropriate URL to invoke a BIRT report. However, the BIRT runtime that generates reports must be separately installed. This section provides instructions for acquiring the BIRT runtime and installing it on a WebSphere Application Server.
