Mastership management
The management of mastership affects how database objects are accessed and manipulated by users in your MultiSite environment. Mastership management is an ongoing process as new objects are entered into the database and users' requirements change.

You can change the mastership of database objects such as records and Workspace items to accommodate the changing needs of users in your environment.

About this task

To change mastership of a Workspace item by using the HCL Compass client:

Note: You must have Public Folder Administrator privileges to modify Workspace items in the Public Queries folder.

In the Workspace, right-click the item you want to modify and select the option for changing the mastership or mastered location.
In the window that is displayed, select the new master replica from the New Mastering Site list.
Click OK.
Export an update packet from the old master replica to the new master replica, and import the packet at the new master replica.
