HCL Commerce is a high-availability, highly scalable and customizable e-commerce platform. Able to support hundreds of thousands of transactions per day, HCL Commerce allows you to do business with consumers (B2C) or directly with businesses (B2B). HCL Commerce uses cloud friendly technology to make deployment and operation both easy and efficient. It provides easy-to-use tools for business users to centrally manage a cross-channel strategy. Business users can create and manage precision marketing campaigns, promotions, catalog, and merchandising across all sales channels. Business users can also use AI enabled content management capabilities.

Organization and buyer administration flows (B2B)
In the B2B business model, each company that purchases from your store must have one or more registered users who are assigned the Buyer Administrator role. Buyer Administrators administer the company's organizations, and they manage the company's buyers, including assigning roles and approving new buyers who register. The Aurora starter store provides a series of self-serve pages for Buyer Administrators to do their work directly in the storefront, rather than using the Organization Administration Console.

The Buyer Approval Details page displays the requesting buyer's personal details and organization details. Buyer Administrators for a B2B organization can view the buyer's details before deciding whether to approve a buyer.

        Header and footer
        The Aurora starter store provides multiple layouts for the header and footer.
        Catalog browsing flows
        Catalog browsing flows describe pages that your customers use to browse and search categories and products on your storefront.
        Content pages
        The term content page refers to a store page that is managed in the Commerce Composer tool but that is not a catalog page. An example is the About Dress Designer page.
        Checkout flows
        Checkout flows describe pages that your customers use to complete the checkout process.
        My Account flows
        The My Account flows describe pages your customers use to register with the online store and maintain their account with the store. The My Account pages include the account summary, personal information, address book, personal wish lists, coupons, orders, order details, and browsing history. Certain pages are optional and are available to customers only if your store chooses those functions.
        Additional flows
        The Additional flows describe the supplementary pages that are required to maintain your online store.

        Organizations and Buyers page
        The Organizations and Buyers page is the main page from which Buyer Administrators , or customer service representatives acting on behalf of Buyer Administrators, in a B2B buyer organization perform tasks to administer their organizations and buyers. The page is visible only to users who are assigned the Buyer Administrator role.
        Add Buyer page
        Buyer Administrators for a B2B organization can use the Add Buyer page to create buyer accounts under an organization. Buyer accounts that are created by the Buyer Administrator are automatically activated and can shop the store immediately; even if the organization is configured to require buyer approvals.
        Buyer Details page
        Buyer Administrators for a B2B organization can use the Buyer Details page to view and edit details about a buyer.
        Create Organization page
        Buyer Administrators for a B2B organization can use the Create Organization page to create suborganizations. The Buyer Administrator can also select roles that can be assigned to buyers who belong to the new organization.
        Organization Details page
        Buyer Administrators for a B2B organization can use the Organization Details page to view and edit organization details and behavior.
        Buyers to Approve page
        Buyer Administrators for a B2B organization can use the Buyers to Approve page to view a list of self-registered buyers who are awaiting approval. Buyer Administrators can search for, approve, or reject buyers.

        The Buyer Approval Details page displays the requesting buyer's personal details and organization details. Buyer Administrators for a B2B organization can view the buyer's details before deciding whether to approve a buyer.
        Registration and approval email notifications (B2B)
        The Aurora starter store automatically sends email notifications at certain points in the organization and buyer registration workflow, and the order approval workflow.
        Order approval flows
        During organization setup, order approvals and contracts can be configured to set the criteria that determines which orders require approval. When order approvals are enabled, a Buyer Approver or Buyer Administrator must approve orders that exceed the order total limit that is specified in the contract before orders are submitted for processing. The Aurora starter store contains pages in which Buyer Approvers and Buyer Administrators can view and manage order approvals.
        Buy-on-behalf-of flows
        The buy-on-behalf-of feature allows a Buyer Administrator to shop on behalf of a buyer in the same organization. After signing in to buy on behalf of a specific buyer, the Buyer Administrator sees the store exactly the way that buyer would see the store. The Buyer Administrator can then lock an order and proceed to create, modify, or view the buyer's information such as saved orders, order history, and requisition lists. When an order is locked, a symbol appears beside the order number.

      Use an extended sites starter store to get started on setting up an extended sites solution that will allow your selling organization to provide unique storefronts for different enterprise customers or showcase a number of branded storefronts.

Buyer Approval Details page (B2B)

The Buyer Approval Details page displays the requesting buyer's personal details and organization details. Buyer Administrators for a B2B organization can view the buyer's details before deciding whether to approve a buyer.

The Organization Details section displays the organization under which the buyer is registering. The organization defines the contract terms and conditions to which the buyer is entitled. Buyer Administrators can add a comment to the page and then choose to approve or reject the buyer.

Note: Buyers are not automatically notified when their request is approved or rejected.

JSP files

The page layout is built with widgets that use the Commerce Composer framework to retrieve and display content. However, the page is not managed in the Commerce Composer tool, and not all the widgets are available to Management Center users in the Commerce Composer tool.

BuyerApprovalDetailDisplay.jsp represents the entire Buyer Approval Details page.
1 BreadcrumbTrail.jsp* is the top-level JSP file for the Breadcrumb Trail widget, which displays the breadcrumb trail.
2 MyAccountNavigation.jsp is the top-level JSP file for the My Account Navigation widget, which displays the My Account sidebar and its navigational links.
3 BuyerApprovalDetail.jsp is the top-level JSP file for the Buyer Approval Details widget, which displays the organization details, buyer details, and address of the requesting buyer.
4 ApprovalComment.jsp is the top-level JSP file for the Approval Comment widget, which displays the comment section of the page. An administrator can type a comment about why the buyer is approved or rejected.

Links and buttons

5 Approve: Approves the buyer and a message is displayed to confirm that the buyer was approved. The buyer can now sign in and shop under the given contracts.
6 Reject: Rejects the buyer registration and a message is displayed to confirm that the buyer was rejected. The buyer is denied access to the store and cannot sign in.
