Introduction

The starter store wireframes represent the skeletal framework of the Aurora starter store. The set of wireframes – also known as low fidelity wireframes – includes interface elements, navigational menus, a range of functions that are available, and page layouts. They do not contain a visual style but rather focus on what the screen contains and does.

The wireframes can be used by information architects, interaction designers, user experience designers, graphic designers, programmers, product managers, and prospective clients.

Demonstrating starter store capabilities

You can use the wireframes in a number of ways such as to understand the site features, navigation flows, and to gather feedback with stakeholders when you review and confirm requirements. A number of wireframe formats are provided so that they can be used and modified as needed.

Best practices

  • Use the wireframe assets with stakeholders to review the behavior, features, and priority of information throughout the site.
  • Use the wireframes to gain a quick view of all the key pages and content available in the starter store.
  • Use the wireframes to confirm requirements and any new features in the early stages of a project to reduce costly changes later on in the project cycle.
  • The wireframe asset includes a number of wireframe files that you can modify when you work with clients. The wireframe asset includes the following wireframe files:
    • Use the Axure source wireframe file to modify and add new pages, elements, and dynamic interactions to make rapid prototypes.
    • Use the Axure wireframe file to generate HTML pages for others to view.
    • Use the wireframe Microsoft Word document for easy access to wireframe images of the screens. Also, use with the product documentation to comment out specific functions when you work with clients.
