Migrating WebSphere Commerce

The following section outlines the available migration paths for moving from WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0 to WebSphere Commerce Version 8.0.

Depending on your current WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0 architecture, follow one of two migration paths.

Before you begin

Create your WebSphere Commerce Version 8.0 build server. Later in the migration, you can use this build server to deploy your migrated custom assets in a runtime package. For more information about the build and deployment process, see WebSphere Commerce Build and Deployment tool. Alternately, you can use your migrated version 8.0 development environment for build and deployment during the migration process.
