Deleting resource groups

You must have Site Administrator authority to delete resource groups.


  1. Open the Organization Administration Console.
  2. From the Access Management menu, click Resource Group. A list of resource group displays.
  3. Select check boxes beside the resource groups that you want to delete. Note that you cannot delete a resource group if it refers to an active policy. If the number of resource groups that cannot be deleted is more than five then the message lists only the first five resource groups which cannot be deleted. To delete these resource groups go to the Policies page, sort the access control policies by resource groups and delete all access control policies associated with these resource groups.
  4. Click Delete. Click OK. Note that the resource groups are deleted permanently from the database and not just marked as delete.
