Changing the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password requirements

A Payments instance can be configured to require or not require a password when starting up. To configure this startup value, review this information.

About this task

Important: You must stop the HTTP server before changing the Payments instance password requirements.

To change the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password requirements:

Procedure

  1. Open the Configuration Manager.
  2. In Configuration Manager, under WebSphere Commerce, expand host_name > Payments > Instance List >instance_name > Instance Properties.
  3. Expand your Payments instance.
  4. Expand Instance Properties.
  5. Click Instance.
  6. Check or clear the check box Password Required for startup and click the Apply button.
    Notes:
    • Checking the check box means your Payments instance will be updated to be an attended startup instance.
    • Clearing the check box means your Payments instance will be updated to be an unattended startup instance.
  7. After receiving the Instance was successfully modified message, click OK.

Results

For IBM i OS operating system When modifying one or more parameters in the Instance panel of a Payments instance in Configuration Manager, the HTTP server must be stopped.
